Hair - some have it, some want it, some just have issues

My oldest son just doesn't like to mess with his hair.
The messier the better.
Can't stand to get it cut.
Less than 5 minutes ago he said to his older sister,
"It's easy for girls to remember to comb their hair, they like to do it."
I guess anything is easy to do, if you have the desire to do it.
Life lesson learned?

The Truth comes Out

Just in case the previous post has you deluded into thinking what a sweet, quiet, little boy D is, let me show you his other side. Whenever, Mom tries to take pictures for Ebay, he lays across the items, messes it all up and grins. Says "cheese" and then says "oops, sorry mommy" and runs off giggling. To only come back and repeat if I am brave enough to try to take pictures of another item. And yes, these days he only wears clothes when out in public. Church on the other hand is sometimes considered home. Last week we were at church with just a shirt and diaper, thanks to siblings excited to go and didn't want to mess with shoes. He was buckled in, 20 minutes before I was ready. I assumed he was dressed head to toe. Upon arriving, he blessed me with an exploding diaper, saving the nursery workers of this particular event. As we were leaving to go home, he tried to remove the shirt. Thanks to some wonderful friends he was convinced to leave the shirt on.

Jesus Loves Me Blankie

D loves his "Jesus Loves Me" blankie. His ball blankie is a nice back up. He really likes to make N holler by swiping his and slobbering all over his ball blankie. D loves to suck/chew on the satin binding. A sweet memory to keep. Time to fall asleep after a day at play.

Treasured Smiles !

I don't always get to see this great big smile out of M anymore. It was fun to capture such a big toothy, excited smile of her.

Walter's Pumpkin Patch

I think this is my favorite picture. All of their personalities were captured!

This could become a favorite fall tradition for us. We spent the day there and the kids could havekept playing and exploring. I was so tired, I fell asleep on the way home (Dad was driving). Even Dad was excited about the trip this year and grateful he was already to be scheduled off for the day. It started a little chillier than expected with the wind. But the sun warmed things up by lunch time.

or maybe a future NHL Player ? ? ?

N has started taking lessons. He is doing amazing in just one month! Tuesdays are exciting! Instead of regular gloves or mittens, he wears his big brother's now too small hockey gloves. He asked today if he got to take a stick out on the ice tonight? Not yet. Hopefully in a year.

His teachers are using the parachute to teach them to skate backwards ! He did great!

These are pictures from last week. Been a little hectic around here. This week when he got off the ice, I asked him if he had fun. "It was hard. But I had fun."

Future Pilots ? ? ?

Couple of weeks ago we went to the Aviation Museum. The little boys had a blast checking out things. As long as they could touch, of course. They had a great exhibit that was hands-on. Levers and steering oh my !

Airplanes and Rotary Phones

D was very interested in this phone. I asked him what it was. He had no clue. Amazing how much changes with the passage of time.
