Lately, I have a couple of kiddos who are trying the "I can't sleep" to try and get out of bed. I am quick to respond with, "Talk to God."
Then, they would tell me they already did and couldn't sleep.
So I would respond with, "Tell God all the things you are thankful for. (I do, and before long I am sweetly snoozing!)"
Tonight, Fun Mom was on the hunt looking for "Jesus" (Flutter Nutter's Jesus Love's Me Blanket) and she overheard...
Flutter Nutter was praying to God, "God I love you and I want to be everyone's friend."
"I know you say, "Children obey your parents in the Lord" and that means I have to stay in bed and I am not tired."
Then, Fun Mom walked in and Flutter Nutter told her, "God told me He loves me and I have to stay in bed."
"Everything in the heavens and earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as being in control of everything. Riches and honor come from you alone, and you are the Ruler of all mankind; your hand controls power and might and it is at your discretion that men are made great and given strength" -1 Chronicles 29:11-12

** New Looks for Spring **
This past weekend, we had girl time.
I had one girl asking to garage sale. Another wanting/needing shoes. I had a few errands and a hair appointment. While I was having my hair moment the girls checked out the books. Both found styles they just adored.
But there was absolutely no way, I would get their hair cut without consulting Dad. Dad wasn't answering his phone. So we tried Papa. Papa said NO!, he liked long hair. Eventually Dad returned our calls.
If you have seen the recent spring videos of the girls, you will notice their hair was much longer than it is now. I knew these changes would be coming, it would just take a day when we were all ready and could put the girls in hands we could trust. I am chicken when comes to changing hair styles. I just don't want to go for it and have it turn out not like I hoped. But I was the one encouraging shorter, shorter, a little more shorter. Wonderful hair stylists who knew how to compromise between mom and daughter and how to get a cut that works for a girl's/mom's lifestyle and hair type. My girls are thrilled! That is what counts the most!
5 inches and 7 inches later, dad has survived and likes his girls' new looks!
We haven't seen grandpa yet, don't know if he will survive this or not!

Happy Birthday Papa!
Recently we celebrated Papa's birthday!
We put out a fire, and it wasn't on the cake!
We watched Big-O-Daddy-O rescue a glider with a softball.
Papa had fun with Frick and Frack (aka Fun Mom and Little Princess)
Fun Mom thinks she can take Papa on, he very gently reminds her who Papa is.
Little Princess has a tendency to talk so fast, we wonder what language she is speaking and Papa gets big-eyed and confused!
Ribs were well-done but delicious. 4 little ducks hovered around Big-O-Daddy-O sqwacking for the next bite. One bite for BODO, 8 for the ducklings, and so on...

**Much to my amazement, I started this post 10 days ago. I was chastised by Fun Mom for not posting anything "in a long time!" So Ta~Da, it is finished and I am getting a little caught up**
So what do we do? Well we are a wild bunch.
We hang out together. Work on computer stuff and ebay. Kids play like maniacs until it is too dark to play outside. (The boys have been known to say, "I know, I know, Boys outside (with a big sigh)) Then they watch movies or cartoons. We have a whatever is leftover in the fridge/freezer dinner. (You know finish off the bags of chicken nuggets (5 of them, fish sticks (4 of them), corn dogs (4 of them), that kind of dinner.) Of course, we DRINK water! And we hang out till the kids are reduced to tears and need to go to bed.
Spring time is wonderful! !
