Snuggles with N

N can be such a snuggler. He is always suprising me. He is such a go get em boy and needs lots of redirection. But he has this HUGE heart, especially for his mama. He will come up to me quite unexpectedly, stroke my cheek and tell me I am beautiful. He adores eskimo kisses with me. Gotta enjoy every minute of it and hope he never enters the stage of loving on Mom is uncool.

A gets Her Timothy Award

It was such a special night. We had 4 children in Awanas this year. All four completed their books. Wonderful talks throughout the year about God. The growth we saw in them was such a blessing. As we prepared for the awards ceremony we had to write down something we would remember about Awana. In this preparation, God reminded me of my prayers for dear sweet A when she was 2 yrs. old. I so wanted to fill her up with God's word and I did not know how to do that so she would understand. I learned about Cubbies. What a blessing, a book that helped me break God's word down to just her size of nuggets. How God honored this mom's prayers over the last 10 years. My daughter has memorized over 300 scripture passages. Not only did she memorize them, she understands them. She often pulls these same scriptures into conversations we are having together. She has such a beautiful. I feel tremendously honored and blessed. As I type this tears well up in my eyes again, just as they did when I stood on stage with her. In the picture you can see me biting my lip, trying to control the tears. Also pictured are flowers her daddy gave her that night.

S gets his 3rd year Sparkie Achievement Award

S is first in line! He was so cool, calm and collected.

M's Sparky Award Ceremony

If you watch the video, M's name was called and you hear the daddy WOOHOOing over it. She was first up. What a switch, for the first 21 years of my life I was at the end of the alphabet and now my kids are at the beginning of it. I am so proud of all M's hard work this year. The best part of the year was her asking Jesus into her heart!

Here she is just smiling so big for the camera. I was having technical difficulties with my camera. All the pictures were turning out blurry, so I started to just take videos of the kids.

N-Awana Awards Ceremony, First Year Cubbie

Next up is the Awana awards ceremony. What a night that was. Lots of fun. Here N gets his first year Cubbie Award. He was beside himself for several weeks. He kept asking me when he gets to go to his new Cubbie class. It is hard to explain summer break to a four year old. What a transformation though, the first 3-4 weeks he wouldn't speak much less say verses. When he first decided to say a verse, and I quote "God loved us and sent us sisters." Boy that got the teachers to laughing. They couldn't get him to say "His Son", so no award that night. And I had some explaining to do...when we practiced verses I would sometimes change the words to draw him into practicing verses. He came up with some good ones throughout the year. Our funny guy.

Time has flown by

Well, I have been somewhat negligent in my posting. I will try to catch up some.
First up was a visit to Great Grandma's. We were to take a picture of all the grand and great-grand children under the age 0f 16. All 12 of them. The only ones not pictured are my 2 adult neices, my sister, brother and me. I don't hink we would fit on the couch. What do you think?
