It used to be my worst offenders of getting up and stalling to go to bed were the wee ones. You remember, when they get into a big kid bed and realize they can get out of it. "I need snuggles", "I love you", "I have a question".
Now it is my older ones. They just want to hang out. Oh, I need a kleenex. What'cha doing? Today sooo and sooo and then this happened.... I need to brush my teeth, wash my face.... What is the temperature tomorrow? What are we doing tomorrow?
And all I want is to get my stuff done so I can go to bed!
Tonight, I won! !
Awana nights...the drill, (we review every week in the car on the way home)....
Go in, Get PJS on, get ready for bed, first one ready gets to be first to go over their book with me and then to bed!
But I added a twist. Everytime I have to say "Go/Get to bed" after MY final hug for the night, they have to pay me a whole dollar! Guess what, I didn't earn any moneytonight. But that is okay, cause the house is quiet and I am getting stuff done. I wonder about tomorrow? ? ?
"Everything in the heavens and earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as being in control of everything. Riches and honor come from you alone, and you are the Ruler of all mankind; your hand controls power and might and it is at your discretion that men are made great and given strength" -1 Chronicles 29:11-12

What to do when Ebay causes you to go ERRRR!
I have stacks of Homeschool books and many of which Ebay won't let me sell.
However, it seems to be just me these days.
I understand their reasons for not allowing teacher's guides to be sold.
But how come, there are so many still selling? ?
And why can a teacher's guide for handwriting not be sold?
Oh my gosh, my 1st grader is going to buy it on ebay and cheat by reading the hints on how to form his letters correctly. He might end up having legible handwriting!
I guess ebay wants more doctors out there and for everyone to depend on typing so their "writings" can be read.
So I have had to do some research out there.
I have found you can list homeschool items for sale and buy items as well at :
http://www.homeschoolclassifieds.com/default.asp
and at
http://market.hslda.org/auction/xcAuction.asp
Except at HSLDA you do have to be HSLDA member to do any buying.
So if your child is having handwriting issues and you need a few tips from a parent/teaching guide remember to stop in on one of the above sites and see if you can find what you need!
