Sweeper Happiness! !

I went to get my new vaccuum today! ! !
I was thrilled to find they still had the same kind, just a new updated version. I did inquire about bagless vaccuums. It would be nice to do away with bags...
The thing with bagless is the dirt is suctioned through a filter.
The filter has to be blown clean or another type of vaccuum has to be used to vaccuum the filter clean. Then the saleslady told me you can't vaccuum pencils and toys since they would not go through the filter. Well that cinched the deal.
We will stick with the bag style vaccuum.
Very soon I will post pictures of my newest maid.
For now, the kids have a suprise coming but only if they can complete their Saturday night chores in time. SO I shall go cheer them on! !

ooohhh Mooooommmm!

"Come look at N's masterpiece?" Said with a certain foreign accent flair by my most adorable oldest.
Dread is washing over me.
Migraine since Wednesday night begins to intensify.
The blue carpet is white speckled all over.
Rice!
Where did he get the rice?
Confession: "I didn't mean to put a hole in the rice bag."
Big annoyed sigh, yes you did. You knew what you were doing. You just didn't think about the consequences. In this case your brother made a mess.
Why??
Date night, couples are out, kids are tucked away in the back of minds and I get yet another Friday experience. Ahhh, To make things worse our duct taped, trying to keep it together vaccuum, sprung another leak. I just don't feel like duct taping it anymore. The cord started showing wires this week. So dear husband says, Happy Mother's Day you get a new vaccuum. I quickly respond, you mean Happy 13th Birthday to your daughter. To which he quickly agrees.
So for A, since you are reading this, now you know what you are getting for your birthday! ! !
I must say I love this vaccuum. It has suction beyond belief. We buy the extended warranties, so it has been around for quite a while. It has endured the trials of children learning to vaccuum and a husband who would rather vaccuum legos than pick them up. It has been a true friend. The one before it actually was used to vaccuum salt, (a whole lot of salt) off our dining room table 7 years ago. My oldest son, said look it is snowing, while I was in the shower!! It was later replaced by our current one under warranty. They have discontinued this model, so now I get to try and find a new kind I like. At least, I get to go shopping by myself.

What not to say!

If a mother needs to have a serious talk with a three year old, she shouldn't try when there is a bunch of children and a single 20 year old in the room!

To the three year old...
"Where do your toys belong?"
"in the box"
"Are we suppose to put our toys in the toilet?"
"no"
"Where does Mr. Zebra belong?"
"in the box"
"Are you suppose to flush Mr. Zebra?" At this point all those listening are cracking up and Mr. D started to think this was funny. I had to get the mean and be quiet look on my face. Dad walks through and says, "If you think it is funny, go clean out the toilet!"
"no" sniffles and a "I sorry Mommy."
"Go tell dad you are sorry!"
"ok"

Just before all this, I had checked on dear husband to see how things were going. All he could say is, "You don't want to know." "Don't look." "It's bad." "Mr. Zebra is in there, it is bad."

So for the second time the kids' bathroom toilet has been pulled. Dad bought a shop vac today so there would be no chance of more water in the basement. Especially since we just installed new cabinetry down there.

It is good that he is cute. It is good that he is sweet. It is good that he is our son. Otherwise, he would never be allowed back in the house! Grandma says he needs to be kept in a cage outside for a while. She is just joking, but sometimes I wonder....

Fifth Birthday part 3

fifth bday part 2

Happy Fifth Bday ! !

For my son's fifth birthday we celebrated in Dad style. Dad has never been to Pump It Up. We have been multiple times. But Dad always seems to have to work when we are invited for birthday parties. So as much as it was for N's birthday it was also for Dad. We suprised a few parents when we got in there with all the kids, but we weren't the only ones. Grandma got into the action. I just love the pictures of her showing her grandchildren you are only as old as you let yourself be. She did tell me a few weeks ago, she still is going to the chiropractor trying to recover from the obstacle course.
So it is a little late, 2 months late. But here they are. I have enjoyed going through the pictures tonight. I am sooo glad we went ahead with N's party that day. My mom was amazing. She walked in the door just as I was hearing my sister-in-law tell me my mother-in-law had just passed. She and several good friends helped me pull this party off. I so appreciate them. THANK YOU! !
From the smiles in the pictures, I think everyone had a wonderful time. Adults included. And cause I just couldn't narrow it down anymore...there are 3 slide shows!

guilty confessions

I have one of those guilty confessions. At the beginning of the year we got U-Verse with AT-T. So now we can watch TLC. I really enjoy watching the shows on the Duggars at night when I am working on the computer. I have boys and ohhh do I have boys. I blog about them frequently. Here is the quiet, sweet woman and she HAS BOYS too. I just laugh and laugh and feel like ohhh, there is someone who can relate. I wonder if she ever sees the video of her boys when she is not around. If she does, does she laugh? does she look at her boys and say, "Not again!". It is good to know there are other moms with boys who do things that make you shake your head. I think tonight I saw them riding a cabinet or piano through one of the rooms!! Yep, if we had one they could get on and ride mine would do the same.

The Clark Men!

It has taken me two months to go back and look at the pictures from Feb.
It was a hard month. But I did need to get pictures to family. All the boys were together to say good-bye to Gayla. I managed to get some really good photos of them all together. It is really a hard task to get them all together and dressed for pics to boot. I did include a picture of my nephew's family. We haven't seen them in a long time. It was a good time. And well my M is just so pretty and photogenic in my opinion....
