"Everything in the heavens and earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as being in control of everything. Riches and honor come from you alone, and you are the Ruler of all mankind; your hand controls power and might and it is at your discretion that men are made great and given strength" -1 Chronicles 29:11-12

Thanksgiving Traditions
The night before and morning of Thanksgiving are an exciting time here. "It's just Thanksgiving," I keep saying. Kids can't get to sleep. Turkeys, cranberry sauce and the traditional carmel rolls have everyone excited.
They would have been disappointed if dear A had not got up at 10:30 p.m. and asked if I had made the rolls yet. Oops. So I finished up here on blogger and grabbed the camera to chronicle the process. I did leave out the pics of what was going on in the bathroom. DS N clogged the toilet in a horrible way....He did it all with flushable wipes and toilet paper. Apparently he was messy! ?!? Can you imagine our hair standing on end. Dad wanted him to learn to clean himself. YIKES! Dear husband spent all Thanksgiving morning working on it and all of Friday. By5:00 p.m. we were back to 2 bathrooms in our home. So Thankful am I for this dear husband of mine. I was ready to call a plumber to deal with this event. But he hung in there, fixed his second toilet and 3rd clog for the month. I sure hope December is cleaner and more refreshing!

Happy Thanksgiving Early!!
Happy ! Happy ! Early Birthday! !
Grandmama came into town Friday before Daddy got home. We decided to open Papa's and Grandmama's present early. Oh, what fun we had! When Grandmama asked how old are you going to be? D answered "2!"
"2??" He quickly corrected and told her, "3!"
Of course, Grandmama quickly replied, "Oh good, I am so glad you aren't going to be 2 again!"
A phrase that has been repeated quite a bit the last 5 days!
2 is sweet. 2 can be adorable. The whole world is there to learn about when you are 2!
But 2 is messy. 2 is "NO". 2 is not quite ready to give up naps, and throws everyone's quiet hour into a ? ? 2 is potty training, need I say more. 2 is toys in the toilet and lots of repair work around the house. 2 isn't negotiable, it is unreasonable.
So, I enjoy my son at age 2. I love him when he is 2. I don't know that I want to go back. I look forward to seeing him grow in wisdom and stature. I look forward to watching him become the man God has intended him to be.
