Tonight, Fun Mom taught Little Princess to bake cookies. She told her what to do along the way and Little Princess did all the work. She made sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies. They were delicious! Little Princess took her delectables to the TnT Girls Sleepover tonight. Little Princess went for an "all-most" sleep-over. She has science camp in the morning. The other girls must have thought they were delish, cause by the time I got there, they were almost gone.
Poor Flutter Nutter, he was looking forward to leftovers.
But the amazing part of it all is how, the whole process never needed my involvement!
Earlier in the afternoon, Fun Mom took Flutter Nutter to the mailbox to get the mail. Flutter Nutter got sooo excited. "A package for Mommy!"
Fun Mom: How do you know it is for Mommy?
Flutter Nutter: It has mommy's letters on it.
Who knew he was learning to read/recognize the letters of family members' names ? ! ?
I sure didn't.
Then she pulled out another piece of mail and Flutter Nutter got all excited again.
"That is from AWANA! ! !"
Fun Mom: How do you know that is from AWANA?
Flutter Nutter: Points to the word AWANA. Those are the AWANA letters.
Hmmm, Daddy's Buddy learned all his letters from PBS.
Dad has been teaching him to read and loving it.
Flutter Nutter is learning his letters from the big kids and PBS, and is learning to read by just living with us!
I am in awe and wonder.....
