They love their Daddy! Their Momma?

This morning I asked Big-O-Daddy-O to prep his troops for a schedule change. He has classes to take for work this week so he will be gone during the day, home at night (first shift). We are back to school and I really wanted the hoodlums to know and be prepared before they woke in the morning and started looking for their giant sized play pal! I also needed times as to when he was leaving and coming home. Weeks like this it is hard to know when to cook dinner.
It is also hard cause the kids start watching the clock and getting restless.
They want to know when he is going to walk in the door.

Well he broke the news. Flutter Nutter fell apart. I mean fell apart.

"DON'T LEAVE DADDY, DON'T LEAVE DADDY" "NOOOOOO"
Wailing and tears as if he had somehow left the country for weeks on end
or left us for heaven. OH MY! !
He couldn't be reasoned with. He just cried and cried.
It was, actually, pretty comical.
The rest of the kids then started quizzing him...
"Are you going to work at night?"
"Will you get to stay home?"
"What are you going to do in the evening?"
If I wasn't secure in their need for me to do laundry and shopping, I might feel a little hurt.
I am after all going to be home with them all day. I am even going to take them places.
SHOCK !! I might even feed them lunch and do their laundry.
Do you think I ever hear this kind of drama at my being gone?
NOOOoooo, Hockey Player even asked me the other day,
"How much longer till you are gone?"
It was asked with no sadness, excitement better described his mood.
It wasn't just me, Fun Mom and Big-O-Daddy-O noticed it too.
I wonder what October will bring? Will they miss me?
Will I miss them ?
