You know it is bad when.....

Daddy's Buddy is compliant.
He says his body hurts.
He says his head hurts.
He doesn't have a fever.
He doesn't have drainage.
He lays down just like you suggest.
He doesn't play Wii with the rest of the kids.
He just lays there.
He follows you upstairs and snuggles and says his head hurts.
Can't find anything wrong. Just an infected sore. Infected cause he keeps picking at it.
A call to the dr. office. We just talked to them yesterday,
he was stung twice by wasps and huge hive welts formed on his neck.
The nurse is concerned and tells us to go directly to immediate care.
They know, whenever he is sick enough to be compliant he ends up in the hospital!
He hears hospital. And he tries to convince me he is okay.
He falls asleep in the car.
Dad meets us at the dr. office.
Mom prays for wisdom.
Doc mentions strep.
Mom says no way.
Strep is not allowed.
Where has he been to catch strep?
My kids aren't allowed to drink from water fountains.
6 minutes later.... it is positive.
Hmmm, Flutter Nutter has been complaining of tummy ache, but he sometimes waits a long time before running to the bathroom. He cries in his sleep at night. Nose runs like crazy, but he has outdoor allergies. Little Princess has complained about her tummy on and off all week and a scratchy throat.
Please NO! I cry out to God. Please not strep!
Sure enough, Flutter Nutter is positive.
Little Princess is negative on the 5 minute. They are culturing hers to be sure.
The first night of Awana.
Tears are shed.
It just isn't fair to miss the night you have been waiting for for 2 years.
All Flutter Nutter has wanted for 2 years is to be a Cubbie.
Daddy' s Buddy is so excited about being a Spark and he missed the first night.
Dad took them to the doctor. He got cultured as well.
He has been feeling puny. He was negative.
As I curl up for the night to chill out, I realize Big-O-Daddy-O shared his ice cream cone today with all 5 kids. What I would give for prophylactic rounds of antibiotics for the older two and Dad. I did declare a No-Kissing Season in my house till Spring.
Poor Big-O-Daddy-O.
I have developed so many drug allergies, there is only one antibiotic that I can take now. I can't get sick ! I am running out of options.
I WANT TO GO TO IRELAND!
Then tonight at AWANA I heard there was a confirmed cause of swine flu in our school district. UGH! ! !! Maybe we will be hermits till I get back from Ireland.
40 more days till my plane takes off!
But for now it is 12-18 new toothbrushes
antibiotics
lots of laundry
lots of lysol wipes and cleaning

Boy, do you have your hands full! Trying to keep 7 people healthy for 6 weeks! I think I'd go the hermit route as much as possible but I know that's not very realistic. Do the best you can, lots of prayer and trust God with the rest.
