This year, I had the pleasure of going with Hockey Player to the WYHA Awards Banquet.
A friend of ours asked Hockey Player about his date with me, she got a wrinkled up face/frown from him. Then she asked if he would take me for ice cream afterwards. A quick shake of the head no. That's all good. He is 10 afterall. Not necessarily cool to hang with mom.
I was thrilled to get to see him get "The Good Sportsmanship Award" this year. So proud of my boy and the character that he is developing.
