Today is our frivolous free day

We went to Home Depot for the kid's clinic. All the kids made pencil box flower pots. (Thinking Mother's Day for Grandmas and special peeps in their lives....) Even D made one. The certificate is for the project completed and the safety skills acquired. We learned to not hit momma in the face with the hammer or momma's fingers. I managed to dodge the hammer on all accounts, but there was plenty of instruction in keeping control of the tool.

Then thanks to our friend Maryann's heads up we were off to Prairie Dog Comic Books and the kids each got a free comic book of their choice. Dad intervened and previewed them. On the way home we stopped for Redbox movie. Used the "MAYDAY' code. Something for the kids to watch in turns while showering and getting ready for Sunday morning tonight.

Yesterday was my big shopping day. Case Lot Sale at the Commissary. Very cool deals, I went only $20 over this week's grocery budget. Best part as we were leaving they were giving away free BallPark hot dogs and cans of Pop. My ravenous 6 yr. old and I grabbed some lunch and headed home. What deals! ! !
